Christmas pictures
Here are some great Christmas shots of Lilly and Elly and family.
This is Lilly in her Christmas outfit.
Check out the happy face.
Here is Elly in her Christmas stocking.
And a great family shot of Keri, Elliott and family. (How did the get Ollie to sit still??)
Lilly at 4 months
It is amazing how fast time flies and the changes that occur in the first few months. Lilly is 4 months old and Leah took these pictures with her '4 months' sticker on. Lilly can hold her head up and roll over and also sees and grabs for things. She is always watching what is going on around her. When our kids were this age I used to think they were on 'record', just taking everything in and putting the info on their hard drive.

Matching hats for Leah and Lilly
A friend of Leah's at the school where she teaches knitted matching winter hats for her and Lilly. Here they are trying them on for size. Lilly thinks they look pretty cool (or should it be warm?)

Professional photos of Elly
Rather that ubiquitous cell phone photos, Keri and Elliott got professional pictures of Elly from the photography company that contracts with the hospital to do this. Leah and Andy did the same with Lilly. They are very high quality and, for the appropriate fee, you get the rights to use, print and distribute the digital images. Here are some of the best of the new family.

More on Elly's Birthday
Here are some more pictures of Elly's birthday experience.
Keri spent Tuesday night and most of Wednesday just waiting for dilation. With time to burn, Keri decided to roam the halls.
The hospital staff was wonderful and created a welcome sign for Elly.
Here's a close-up of Elly and her first bath.
Here's momma with her first born.
All this activity takes place in the birthing room. After Elly and Keri are deemed fit to travel, they move to a regular room. A little traveling music, please. And one of Grandma Katie holding her.
Here are the proud parents and Uncle Kevin.
Now for the trip home. Elly was born Wednesday and they came home Friday afternoon.
Now at home, Elly is getting used to her new surroundings. The dogs, Ollie and Shadie, are dealing with the intruder in different ways. Ollie seems to just ignore Elly, while Shadie has to keep a close eye.

Welcome Elly!
Elena Kathleen Drury entered this world on December 5, 2012 at 6:01 PM. Elly weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 19" long. Both Keri and Elly are doing fine. I'm not sure how Elliott is doing, but he must be OK since he took these pictures.
Here's Elly in her new world wondering what just happened. It was so nice and comfy before.
The proud parents showing off their new treasure.
Here's Grandma Katie showing off her new granddaughter. Katie flew out to Seattle on Saturday, Dec. 1, for a two week stay in anticipation of the birth. There was some concern whether Keri would be late and how it would affect travel plans. Katie and Keri took lots of walks to help get the process moving and they were successful since Keri's water broke on Tuesday (12/4) about 10:30 PM. They went to the hospital where contractions progressed steadily until Wednesday afternoon when she was fully dilated and could start pushing. And the rest, as they say, is history.

3 Month milestone
Thanksgiving weekend was also Lilly's 3 month milestone. Leah attached her sticker and took these pictures. It seems weird to put a sticker on your child, but Lilly is growing and changing daily so these milestones will help remember the progression when we look back.
Lilly is a happy and thriving baby.
What big eyes you have! I think she could be the new E-trade baby.

Turkey Day
This was Lilly's first Thanksgiving and she dressed up for the part.
Lilly was excited to see her Aunt Megan and Uncle Kevin who also came home for Thanksgiving. Although she didn't get to sample any turkey and fixings directly, she got the benefit of all the good stuff through Leah. Now, I wander if mother's milk filters out tryptophan? Lilly does seem to sleep a lot.

Grandpa's helper
For my birthday, Leah dressed Lilly in her special Grandpa helper outfit. I suggested we put a wrench in Lilly's hand for the picture, but her Mom thought that wasn't a good idea, unless we had a plastic wrench. Anyway, Lilly showed off her outfit at our birthday dinner.

Senorita Lilly
While in Indianapolis, we all went to Megan's favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch. Lilly slept through it all. Megan borrowed a hat and blanket from the restaurant and created this picture of our sleeping Senorita Lilly.

The pink ladies
On Sunday morning at Megan's in Indianapolis, it turned out that both Grandma Katie and Lilly came out dressed in pink tops and black pants. Not to be outdone, Megan and Leah donned matching outfits and the "Pink Ladies" were formed.

A new soccer fan
This past weekend we visited Lilly's aunt Megan in Indianapolis. We had a wonderful time visiting and checking out all the decorating Megan had done to her house and yard. On Saturday morning, it just so happened that Manchester United was playing Arsenal, so Lilly's Dad Andy, a huge soccer and Manchester United fan, was in uniform to watch the soccer match. Not to be out-dressed, Lilly donned her own outfit and they watched the match together.
As you can see from the tentative grin, Lilly is not quite sure what all the fuss is about. She also would like someone to please explain offside.
